R1WURKS driver Dominic Paccione delivered a dominant performance at the ROAR Off-Road Nationals, capturing National Championship titles in both the 17.5 2WD and 13.5 4WD classes after a weekend defined by speed, consistency, and composure under pressure.
Paccione came out strong in qualifying, securing two TQ runs out of the four rounds in 17.5 2WD to earn the overall TQ position heading into the mains. In 4WD, the team battled through mechanical issues discovered late in qualifying, but Dominic still managed an impressive P2 starting position against an exceptionally competitive field.
The opening A-Main in 17.5 2WD showcased Paccione’s pace immediately. After settling into rhythm early, he steadily pulled away from the stacked field and crossed the line with a commanding margin of nearly five seconds over second place.
In 4WD A1, Dominic stayed patient in the opening laps, maintaining pressure on the leader while keeping a clean and controlled pace. When the leader made a small mistake, Paccione capitalized instantly, taking over the top spot and never looking back. From there, he stretched out his advantage and drove to another convincing victory.
A2 would ultimately seal the deal in both classes. Paccione once again demonstrated the consistency and race management that defined his weekend, combining smooth driving with relentless pace to secure both the 17.5 2WD and 4WD ROAR Off-Road National Championship titles.
The double championship victory marks a standout achievement for both Dominic Paccione and the R1WURKS engineering team, highlighting not only outright speed but the preparation, determination, and execution required to win at the national level.
