R1 Motor Lab Digital Pro (published by R1 Brushless Motor Lab, LLC) is a companion app for the R1 Motor Lab Digital Pro ESC. It is designed to keep your data on your own phone.

What we collect

Nothing is sent to us. The app has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking. It does not collect personal information.

Data stored on your device

Your saved ESCs, setup files, change history, and speed-calculation settings (tire size, gear ratio, motor poles, units) are stored only in the app on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes them.

Sharing

When you choose to export a setup or report a problem, the app opens your phone’s share sheet or email app with the content you approved. Nothing is sent unless you send it.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth and nearby-device permissions are used solely to scan for, connect to, and exchange settings and telemetry with your ESC. Location permission, where the operating system requires it for Bluetooth scanning, is never used to determine or share your location.

Firmware

Firmware updates, when offered, are bundled inside the app and sent to the ESC over Bluetooth. No firmware or usage data leaves your phone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will ship with a new app release and be reflected on this page.
