R1WURKS (Fits Stage D10) Steering Stop, Titanium
These ultra-lightweight steering stops prevent over-center lockup with a smooth contact surface that won’t interfere with suspension movement.
Key Features and Specifications:
- In-house ultra-high precision swiss machining
- High-strength grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) titanium
- Tight tolerance hex broaching
- Color options available
- Cold-formed threads for improved grain structure and increased material hardness
Installation:
Insert a 1.5mm hex driver through the desired knuckle hole. Attach the steering stop to the hex tool, then push the stop into the hole and tighten it until snug. Do not overtighten.
Note: Depending on which knuckle hole is used, the position providing the maximum steering angle may require front wheels with additional offset (6mm) and/or wheel spacers to provide adequate clearance and prevent the wheel from rubbing against the stop. Check clearance and adjust the wheel offset or spacer thickness as needed.
Anodized Titanium Care
Anodized titanium can develop temporary discoloration or changes in appearance from normal handling. Skin oils, fingerprints, dirt, and other contaminants can build up on the surface and make the anodized color appear dull, uneven, or different from its original appearance.
In many cases, the original color can be restored with a simple cleaning. Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and gently wipe the titanium surface to remove oils and contaminants. Allow the part to air dry completely or wipe it with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
Important: Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishing compounds, steel wool, or aggressive scrubbing, as these can damage or alter the anodized finish.
With proper cleaning and handling, your titanium part can maintain its original anodized appearance for a long time.
